How to Delete Your Heartforge Account

You can delete your Heartforge account and all associated data directly from the app or the web version. Follow these steps:

  1. Open Heartforge on your device or visit go.heartforge.app in your browser.
  2. Sign in to your account if you are not already signed in.
  3. Navigate to Settings (tap the gear icon on the Home screen).
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings page.
  5. Tap Delete Account.
  6. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Your account and data will be permanently deleted immediately upon confirmation.

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

  • Account information
    Your email address, authentication credentials, and profile data.
  • Adventures
    All adventures, including encounters, NPCs, players, items, maps, canvases, timelines, and notes.
  • Characters
    All character sheets and associated data.
  • Compendium content
    Any user-created or edited creatures, equipment, environments, domain cards, and other compendium entries.
  • User metadata
    Notes, tags, favorites, and images attached to compendium items.
  • Audio content
    User-created soundscapes, sound effects, and uploaded audio files.
  • Uploaded files
    All images and audio files stored in cloud storage.
  • Subscription records
    Storage quota and usage data.

What Data Is Retained

  • Anonymous diagnostic data
    Crash reports and performance metrics that cannot be attributed to individual users are retained indefinitely for quality improvement purposes.
  • Subscription transaction records
    Purchase history managed by Apple or Google may be retained by those platforms according to their own policies. Heartforge does not control or store this data.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your adventures, characters, compendium edits, and uploaded content will be lost. Please make sure you have saved any data you wish to keep before proceeding.
